Devil in the snow

Tasmanian devils are enjoying the snow falls at Barrington Tops. This is not their natural environment. Devils natural environment is in Tasmania. So why are they not there? Is it because their Tasmanian environment is contaminated with poisons and pesticides used in plantation forests?
